Luxury Kitchen Chandelier Granite Kitchen Island

Luxury Kitchen with Dramatic use of Cabinetry and Selection of Kitchen Finishes

This is described as a luxury kitchen in an expensive stately house. It is interesting with it’s use of multiple finishes to the vertical surfaces. They balance well helping reinforce the theory that everything goes with everything but it just depends on the amount of each texture or color to form the picture.

They are separated and provide different functions. The black granite for the work tops around the walls and the rich warm reds of the central island granite allow the island to look like an ornate piece of furniture providing the focal point of the room and feel of a luxury kitchen.

Luxury kitchen - The central chandelier candelabra light fitting combines with the island and works well with the coffered ceiling, acting as a focal point to the centre of the room while giving an allover functional wash of light to the central island's workbench.

The timber cabinetry of the kitchen island exudes personality but is still functional it has decorative storage areas for large crockery, cupboards for storing appliances that aren’t used frequently and the corbels on the ends allow a dramatic look to the joinery appearing to support the heavy granite top, the timber has a french wash, contrasting well with the warms tones of the rest of the timber cabinetry.

The main timber cabinetry is well designed with drama and action to the form allowing more decorative storage space above the refrigerator with a simple arch and the functional rectangular form covering the kitchen extract equipment. The color is a warm caramel and tones well with the reds of the kitchen island’s granite counter top.

Stainless steel to the appliances does seem a little strange considering the detail and warm tones of the rest of the kitchen, but I suppose the only alternatives are black or white. Perhaps integrating them may have been a better option.

Overall a dramatically designed luxury kitchen with fun as well as functionality, a good place to get some kitchen detail ideas for your own home.
